Cumbria Community Foundation Acorn Fund

Targeted support where it matters most. Through our Acorn Fund, delivered in partnership with Cumbria Community Foundation, we support initiatives tackling poverty, youth vulnerability, family crisis, mental wellbeing, and victim support across Cumbria. Our commitment goes beyond donations — a share of our profits, equity, and our people’s time is reinvested to create lasting, measurable impact.



Investing Early. Building Capability for Life

We work closely with schools, educators, and industry partners to inspire and prepare the next generation. As Enterprise Advisors to Energy Coast UTC, we help shape real-world career pathways aligned to industry needs. Through outreach, mentoring, work experience, and our Pathfinder Programme, we turn curiosity into capability — and ambition into opportunity.



Community, Volunteering & Giving Back

Local roots. Genuine commitment Our people actively contribute to the communities where we live and work — through volunteering, fundraising, mentoring, and sponsorship. From supporting local sports clubs to raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, our teams give their time and energy to causes that matter. Many of our leaders also serve on industry and community boards, including the Nuclear Institute Cumbria Branch, helping strengthen the sector locally and nationally.



MissionCX actively supports grassroots growth, start-ups, and partnerships that strengthen capability and resilience. A key example is ProjectCX — developed with MissionCX support and now operating as a complementary partner, bridging the gap between commissioning and operational readiness and transitioning.
